Description:
The Deluxe House Flag Stand is a great way to display a decorative flag or banner. The main vertical is constructed of sturdy 3/4" channel steel. The flag holder is made of 3/8" rod iron. All house size banners 28"x 40" or smaller fit this classic display option. Height above ground is 5 feet. Weight: approximately 8 lbs.

Kite Flying Tips and Tricks

Kite Flying Tips and Tricks:

1. Kites fly best in wide open spaces. Avoid flying your kite in areas near buildings and trees.

2. To Launch, stand with the wind to your back.

3. Hold the kite with the nose up in one hand while securely holding the winder in the other.

4. When you feel the pressure of the wind against the kite, let go. As the kite rises,slowly release the line.

5. A high altitude launch is an effective method of getting your kite off the ground in light winds. Have someone stand downwind as you let out as much line as possible (>100 feet). As the kite is released into the wind, tug on the line.

The Red Baron Kite is modeled after Manfred von Richthofen, known as the "Red Baron," who was the most successful of all World War I flying aces. with eighty victories to his name. Though he flew biplanes for most of his career, this bright red Fokker Dr. 1 triplane is the plane most closely associated with him.

This Smithsonian Licensed replica airplane kite was modeled after real aircraft in the legacy of aviation. New Tech Kites worked with the Curator of the Smithsonian to assure these planes are historically correct. Each full color header gives the history of these famous aircraft.

Butterfly Birthday Ship Ahoy

The Flower Firm of Chicago designed a summer birthday party that would enchant even Peter Pan and the Lost Boys. The presentation sparked the imagination of all who celebrated. James Papajohn and Lynn English applied their exceptional creative talents to build a replica of a Pirate Ship with sails made of butterfly kites. The result was out of this world. They chose an assortment of hand-painted Bali Butterfly Kites, Karner Blue Butterfly kites, Swallowtail Butterfly Kites, Red Forest Butterfly Kites, Monarch Butterfly Kites, and Mystic Butterfly Kites. Colorful tables were decorated with bright pink and purple linens and placed on o floor that captured the look of the cool, green ocean. The Flower Firm deserves a big applause for helping to make someone’s birthday party a huge success.
